Bill Dupuy of KSFR will moderate a forum for candidates for Santa Fe County Commission. Focus topics will include development for green job opportunities, energy strategy, water issues, and land development.

This forum gives County residents a great opportunity to bring their environmental concerns and see how each of the candidates deals with them. The County Commission plays a critical role in such issues as oil & gas development, approval of Open Space proposals, and the ongoing dilemna of dealing with growth versus finite water resources.

Candidates for District 1 (northern district up to Chimayo) are Sef I. Valdez, Leonard J. Roybal, Paul White, Daniel “Danny” Mayfield, and Jon Paul Romero.

Candidates for District 3 (southern district including Cerrillos and La Cienaga) are David E. Bacon, Robert A. Anaya, and Angelica Ruiz.
