River locations not in compliance on E. coli
Water Sentinels of Rios de Taos started its 2011 sampling season on May 24. At least three locations on the Rio Pueblo and Rio Ferrnando have been found to be out of compliance with e. coli standards. Sentinels are anticipating extending sampling to the Red River this year to monitor expected progress in reclaiming the Moly Mine Superfund site. - Eric Patterson, Director, Water Sentinels, Rios de Taos.
