Northern New Mexico Group - Volunteer Recognition Event

Approximately 50 people attended the Northern New Mexico Group Volunteer Recognition event on May 7.

The event started with a moment of silence for Gail Ryba. Several spoke about her contributions and her leadership in the environmental community.

Highlights of the event include: John Buchser talking about the Santa Fe River, Betty Quick told about her solar systems, Susan Martin talked about key endorsements that the Club has made this year, Norma McCallan talked about the yard sale on May 15, Judith Bunney talked about the Club's legislative success this year, and David Van Winkle emplored everyone to write to President Obama to stop drilling and build a clean energy economy.

Awards for 25 years of service were given to Kay Carlson, Norma McCallan, George Grossman, Roger Peterson, and Norbert Sperlich.

Awards for 10 years of service were given to ; Ken Hughes, Jim Hannan, Susan Martin, John Buchser, Tobin Oruch, Art Judd, Carole Owens, Eleanor Eisenmenger, and Marcia Skillman.
