CoolBiz - Resources for Santa Fe Businesses

Cool Biz Logo

Mayors across the United States are making commitments to reduce Global Warming. Mayor David Coss signed a resolution on climate protection with the goal of reducing carbon emissions to 7% less then 1990 levels by 2012.

Achieving this goal requires the involvement of all segments of the community, which is why the Sierra Club has created the national Cool Cities Campaign. ”CoolBiz” is the business outreach component of the Northern New Mexico Group's Cool Cities campaign. Please visit http://coolcities.us for information about the national program and http://northern.nmsierraclub.org for information about our local Cool Cities program.

This is a resource for Santa Fe businesses to learn how to increase energy efficiency, reduce cost, and reduce waste through on-line and down-loadable resources and through networking with other business owners. The resulting improvements will reduce carbon emissions, increase profitability, and potentially increase your revenue as "green" consumers support CoolBiz organizations with their purchasing.

There are no cost, low cost, and long-term investment solutions for every business.

The four tiers of CoolBiz participation shown below reflect increasing levels of commitment to energy conservation.

We would like to invite your business to CoolBiz events, update you on CoolBiz initiatives, and list your business in our CoolBiz directory.

You may sign up or increase your commitment at anytime by sending us an email at northern.group.nm@sierraclub.org.
